In partnership with the California State Board of Equalization Office of Chairman Jerome Horton (Class of ’79, B.S., business administration), the California Legislative Women’s Caucus, the Southern California Minority Business Development Council, and the Bridges Community Economic Development Corporation, California State University, Dominguez Hills is hosting the third annual Connecting Women to Power Business Conference on Friday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Loker Student Union and University Theatre.
Leaders from corporations and government agencies will lead seminars, workshops and discussions, providing real-world experiences on investment and business opportunities to help better position women entrepreneurs to thrive in today’s business climate. Women who own their own business or aspire to do so will have the opportunity to build key alliances and network while getting the latest information on industry trends.
Confirmed conference speakers include Hilda Solis, former United States Secretary of Labor; Angela Gipson, external affairs manager of AT&T; CSU Dominguez Hills alumna Chiraz Zouaoui (Class of ’05, B.A., business administration), president and CEO of City National Security Services, and many more.
