Munashe Furusa Speaks at Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Observance

Munashe Furusa, acting dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at California State University, Dominguez Hills, was the featured guest speaker during a special observance on Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the Los Angeles Air Force Base Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo.

Furusa’s speech reflected on the observance’s theme “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work.”

In a video interview on the SMC Facebook page, Furusa said, “We enlarge the canvas of our life when we interact with other people, because they bring to the table a lot of other experiences. …We must not be afraid of people, but we must appreciate them for who they are and also respect them and understand that together we can transform this world to be what we want it to be.”
